President
Major Sean Jowell
Pinellas County Sheriff's Office
|
Major
Sean D. Jowell has been a member of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office since
1989 and is currently the District Commander in the Patrol Operations Bureau.
Major Jowell is also the Supervisor for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s
Office Swat Team and has been a member of the Swat Team for 18 years. He is a
graduate of SLP 12 sponsored by the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute
and of the Leadership Pinellas class of 2004. He holds a Bachelors of Science
from Franklin Pierce College and a MPA with Troy State University.
Sean
maintains an active involvement with the communities of Pinellas County as the
vice president of the Ride and Run with the Stars inc.; a non-for-profit
organization that, during the holiday season, provide clothes, food, and toys
for children that have been victims of violent crimes and/or economic strife.
Sean
is married to Kimberly and has two boys. He enjoys athletic competitions and
spending time with his family watching his boys compete in club soccer games
throughout the state.

Vice President
Lt. Dave Hubbard
Eustis Police Department

Dave Hubbard began his career
in Law Enforcement with the Eustis Police Department in 1989. He has held
assignments in Patrol and Investigations where he was promoted to the rank of
Sergeant. In 2005, Dave was promoted to Lieutenant and has held assignments as
Criminal Investigations Commander and Administrative Services Commander. He is
currently responsible for Internal Affairs, Training, Communications and
Records. Dave earned his Bachelors degree in Criminology from St. Leo
University and a Masters degree in Criminal Justice from the University of
Central Florida. Dave is a graduate of SLP Class 12 and completed his research
project on Officer Retention in Small Police Departments.

Chief of Staff Dan Kuhn
Marion County Sheriff's Office |
Dan has worked with Law Enforcement
since he began his career as an assistant state attorney for the 5th Judicial
Circuit. He prosecuted cases ranging from DUI to fraud to robbery and homicide.
He served as General Counsel for the
Sheriff's Office, handling all legal matters that affected the agency, before he
became Chief of Staff.
Dan has a bachelors degree from the
University of Florida. He also received his Juris Doctorate degree from the
University of Florida. He received his Law Enforcement Certification from Santa
Fe Community College and is a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy.

Chief Deputy Peyton Grinnell
Lake County Sheriff's Office |
Peyton is a decorated combat Marine
Corp veteran with distinguished service in the Republic of Panama during
Operation Just Cause and the Middle East during Operations Desert Shield/Storm.
Chief Grinnell completed his basic law enforcement training at the Lake
Technical Center in Eustis. He was hired at the Lake County Sheriff’s Office in
1994 and has worked various job assignments to include: Criminal Investigations,
Uniform Patrol, Organized Crime and Intelligence, Training Director, Community
Services and Public Information.
Chief Grinnell holds an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor's in
Organizational Management, is a graduate of the Administrative Officers Course
(111th) at the Southern Police Institute, University of Louisville, 244th
session of the FBI National Academy - Quantico, VA and the Chief Executive
Seminar (43rd) at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).
His professional affiliations include: Life member Veterans Foreign Wars,
Rotary, Lake County Conservative Founders Club, Leadership of Lake County 2008,
Florida Criminal Justice Executive Leadership Institute (board member) and
Institute of Public Safety Advisory Board.
Chief Grinnell is married to his wife of 21 years; Jennifer and has two
children, Lauren 15 and Blake 10, who reside in Lady Lake.
Peyton attended Leesburg High School,
earned an Associates degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelors in
Organizational Management; Southern Police Institute University of Louisville

Captain
Mark Chamberlain
Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office |
Mark
Chamberlain is a twenty-four year veteran of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s
Office, Department of Corrections. He has worked his way through the ranks in a
variety of correctional settings including: minimum, medium and maximum-security
facilities, encompassing both traditional housing and direct supervision.
Captain Chamberlain is currently the commanding officer of the PBSO West County
Detention Center Division in Belle Glade. His prior commands include the Courts,
Intake, Classification and Release, the PBSO Main Detention Center and the PBSO
Stockade.
Mark
holds concurrent Corrections and Law Enforcement certifications and he is an
Adjunct Instructor at the Criminal Justice Institute at Palm Beach Community
College. He is a Certified Jail Manager through the American Jail Association.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northwood
University and a Graduate degree in Public Administration from Barry University.
He is a graduate of Class #10 of the Senior Leadership Program sponsored by the
Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute.
Mark is
married to Nina and they have three sons. He enjoys fishing, golf, landscaping
and restoration of their 1929 historic home.

Secretary/Treasurer
Terry Everest |
Terry retired as a Lt. from the University of South Florida police Department
after 25 years. During her time at USF she attended class six of the
Senior Leadership program.
Terry then moved to Tallahassee to finish her DROP at FDLE administering the
Senior Leadership program. She retired for the second time in June 2010.
